Fics like the unseen weight

The Temple of Silence discovers a remarkably intact set of ruins in the desert. At the ruins' heart is an altar, and around the altar are dozens of skeletons, all intact and undisturbed. It's as if the people who died there simply fell asleep and never woke up. While investigating the mystery, Al-Haitham falls into a slumber from which he cannot be woken. It becomes clear that without intervention, whatever killed the people in the temple is going to kill him, too. With the combined assistance of Lord Kusanali and a mysterious Ratnik, Kaveh plunges into the realm between death and dreaming to bring Al-Haitham home. Even with nothing but shattered remnants left to find, Kaveh knows the shape of Al-Haitham's soul as well as he knows his own. He'll put Al-Haitham back together piece by piece if he has to—and in the process, maybe he'll put the pieces of their relationship back together, too.
