Fics like our phantoms, forever.

frank was gasping, wild-eyed, pills scattering across the pavement like ugly confetti. “what the… fuck, get off–” gerard didn’t let go. he rolled them, pinning frank beneath him just long enough to keep him from bolting or trying again. “stop–stop moving, you’re safe, you’re–” frank thrashed. his head cracked against the bottom rung of the fire escape ladder. gerard lunged to cushion it, twisting his own body between frank and the metal. too late. his temple slammed into the sharp edge of the railing with a wet crack. white-hot pain exploded behind his eyes. the world strobed. rain-slick alley, frank’s horrified face, the distant glow of the streetlight, all of it fracturing into black shards. --- frank has been depressed and suicidal for ages. gerard is an angel sent to help him but hits his head and develops amnesia. he cant remember who he is or where he is. the only thing burning bright in his mind is the name frank iero.
