Fics like Dissolving Mist: A Phantasm’s Rondo

Where do people go when they die? That was a question that you thought was going to be answered when death swept you off your feet, but the result was something far stranger than you could have imagined. Called to action by a mysterious white haired individual, you have been tasked to search for a young lady whose absence threatens to drown the world. Easier said than done as danger walks among you in the very school you’re forced to attend: vampires, but not just any vampires. You had seen them before when you were arguing with your old childhood friend about ‘who the best husbando’ was when you two were in middle-school. Yes, yes, THAT old visual novel on the Vita. Will you be able to find the protagonist of this game? Or will you fail, and take the rest of the world with you into the deep?
