Fics like A Lesson In Reawakening

Death is final, the end of life. And yet, Victor Frankenstein had proven the common understanding of that law of nature... flawed. When Victor passes away upon the captain's ship, he does not pass on into death, but unto a second chance at his creature's beginning. --- Author's Note --- This is a fix-it of sorts, but also an exploration of Victor, and I write him like the messy bitch he is so buckle in for unreliable narration, repression and denial, selfish empathy(?), and mommy issues. There WILL be The Creature x Victor, and Victor does essentially raise him through the first bit of this fic, so if that squicks you out, get out now or open your mind to ineffable and immutable connections that transcend social concepts of relation, especially when one part of the relationship is only vaguely human.
