Out of the corner of his eye, he sees a couple of the suits look at his manager, who in turn turns his gaze to Jeongguk. “Jimin-ssi already signed,” he says simply. Which makes Jeongguk feel like the floor has fallen out from underneath him. Because why would Jimin agree to a new season when they barely managed to hold eye contact the last time they were in the same room? Why would he agree when it would be so easy for him to come up with an excuse to delay, or cancel the whole thing entirely? Why agree when Jeongguk is pretty sure Jimin hates him, or is afraid of him, or some twisted mix of the two? Why would Jimin want to spend a week or more filming together when they haven’t spoken in over a year? Or: On the last night of the Arirang Tour, the entire world tilts on its axis. Jeongguk tries to set things right again.
