Fics like Optical Distortion

Teammates for a summer, opponents for the rest of their lives? The NHL loves Shane and Ilya’s brief shared history and makes sure everyone knows about it. A rivalry is worth more with a good story attached, and any hope either of them had for working out how to leave that summer in Moscow is rapidly disappearing. It would probably help if they stopped giving each other new reasons to hold on to it. ***** This story is a sequel to "Plexiglass Box", in which Shane and Ilya meet in 2007, when Shane's mother joins the coaching staff of Ilya's junior hockey team for the summer. Or: Shane was Ilya's Coach's son. Things spiral from there.
