Fics like treasure that's not found but made

“You seem unsettled.” Sunday startles and nearly drops the pan he’s washing - does drop the washcloth, and Argenti catches it and sets it on the sink. “My apologies,” Argenti murmurs. “I didn’t intend to startle you.” Sunday shakes his head. “It’s fine.” He finishes the washing up with Argenti watching him, that steady gaze sending prickles down his spine. Sunday knows that look. “I miss him too.” Boothill has only been away for three days, and won’t return for another two. He is entirely capable of looking after himself. It’s pointless to think about missing him. Still, Sunday swallows, looking away. “Would you like a distraction?” Argenti’s voice is soft, gentle as always. But there’s a faint, teasing lilt to it that tells Sunday what he means. Since that first time, the three of them - himself, Argenti, and Boothill - have been with each other in various different configurations. Sunday is still getting used to it, knows that both of them are holding back with him because of it. “...What did you have in mind?”
