Fics like reaching for you, terrified

Mary had told him where to find the book, on the nightstand next to her side of their bed (their bed) where her current favorites often resided. It was there, just as she said it would be, and he went to grab it quickly so as to return to his love as soon as possible, and bask in the joy of her presence as he read to her as long as she wanted, until his voice went hoarse if she wished. He grabbed it so quickly, in fact, that he only managed to snag the cover, and the pages of the book flapped open before he could get a better grip. As they did, something which had been pressed between the pages fluttered to the ground. After they get married, Tom finds the letter Mary wrote while he was in Yorkshire (Standalone fic but could technically follow the previous fic in the series)
