Fics like Then When She’s Gone, There’s That Odd Melancholy Feeling
After a disastrous KFC grand opening, a ruined reputation, and a very public emotional breakdown, Katie insists she’s totally fine, right up until Maximus asks about the one mission she’s completely ignored. Determined to prove she’s not a failure, Katie sets out alone to find Cucurucho… which goes about as well as expected. When things go wrong, it’s up to one of her reluctant mentors to drag her back in one piece, whether she likes it or not.
