Fics like Even a worm will turn

As District 1 pulled out and started around the parade route Katniss and Peeta fell into easy conversation with Finnick. They talked about how strange it was to be bringing four kids this year, theorized about what the arena would look like, gossiped about the personal lives of all the Gamemaker’s this year. Finnick tells them that he’s not mentoring this year because the “demand” for him was too high this year. “Snow’s all nuts this year, he’s determined for this to be a perfect quarter quell, especially after what happened the last two times.” Katniss winced “All the more reason to stay off his radar this year.” She muttered, turning her attention back to the parade. She watched the District 11 chariot pull out, knowing that by now the crowd was so drunk it wouldn’t really matter how poorly they were dressed compared to the other kids. It still made her angry though, maybe if her kids had a proper stylist, escort and mentors they’d stand half a chance. TLDR: A swap au where Katniss and Peeta have to mentor Haymitch, Maysilee, Wyatt and Louella through the Quarter Quell whilst staying out of trouble and off of Snows radar. Something Haymitch seems determined to make much harder.
