Fics like the vices we keep close to our chests

“Hey, brother,” Thor greeted cheerfully, then frowned slightly when he got a better look at him. “What’s going— oophf!” Loki shot into his arms, not caring about the surrounding onlookers because Thor was here and alive and breathing and that was all that mattered. His pride be damned. “Thor,” Loki whimpered, squeezing his eyes shut because he was not going to cry. “Thor. Y-you’re alive. You’re okay.” Or: Thor got dusted in the snap, and in his grief, Loki creates an illusion-Asgard for himself, where everyone was alive and happy. Where he wasn't just an afterthought. He never expected that Tony Stark, of all people, would somehow stumble into the illusion as well.
