All things considered, it was probably for the best that Mel King was a Beta. She couldn't imagine being overwhelmed by scent and instinct 24/7 like an Alpha or an Omega, so she really couldn't be too upset on that front. Not to mention also the other social layers to the designations, no thank you. Being a Beta was safe and boring. Dr. Langdon didn't seem to mind befriending them either, so that was a plus. As hectic as the Pitt could be, the return of her favorite doctor did a lot for Mel's peace of mind, even if he smelled kind of good and was kind of too nice to her. He was a little bullheaded about it, but that's just how Alphas were. Right? Yeah.
