He snorted, “Fine, suit yourself, then! It's not like you ever were anything other than an idiot, after all. Why am I even putting up with you is a fucking mystery in itself. I can't wait to find someone way smarter to replace you. I’ll do it in a fucking jiffy, I promise you this.” More silence. Vincent started thinking that maybe, just maybe something was wrong. But before he could even slightly furrow his brows in concern, he heard a way too calm voice that in no way belonged to his assistant; “What did you just say to me?” _ Or: Alastor pays Vincent visit at work after a small misunderstanding.
