He’d wonder if it were better to live unaware of one’s purpose, to thoughtlessly drift until one’s inevitable death. When he considered his own life, he realized he wasn’t too far off already. Whizzer sought to never have a vacant moment in his life again, for fear that he, too, would find himself with a rifle on the crown of his head, blade on his throat, ready to bleed him dry. ...
