Fics like i'll pray for you, be in pain for you

On their way home, Buck and Eddie get a flat tire and have to spend the night at a motel. Picks up directly after 9x13: Mother's Boy. “That lady at the front desk thinks we’re partners,” Buck spat out, the edge of his mouth curling like he was confused. Eddie shrugged. “So? We technically are.” “Not work partners. She thinks we’re… y’know. Honeymoon suite-ers.” Eddie didn’t look up at Buck, instead stayed kneeling, searching for his pair of sweatpants. “Why do you care what she thinks, Buck?” “I don’t. I just… don’t understand why you didn’t correct her. Just like those guys in the bar. And when the sheriff assumed you were my partner and let you get in the ambulance with me. You didn’t correct any of them.” “Why should I care—” Eddie asked, finally lifting his eyes to look up at Buck through his lashes, “—what they think?”
