Fics like A banished gods guide to food safety
The first time Xie Lian drank himself drunk was on purpose - an attempt to drown the bottomless feeling of rage and despair. The second time Xie Lian became drunk was on accident. - As he stares at the sky he fails to notice an approaching figure until they are close by. Startled he looks to the shadows and sees a tall man dressed in dark robes with a high pony tail. He stares at the man and blurts out the first name that comes to mind that isn’t a name at all: “Wu Ming?” There is a briefer moment of silence before the man replies and when he does it is with the words Xie Lian never expected to hear again “Yes Your Highness” Ah that solidifies it. Xie Lian is definitely hallucinating. - Local god ignores expiration dates and accidentally gets drunk on fermented juice. He assumes he’s hallucinating when he runs into his ghost soldier from centuries ago and since this is, a dream after all with no real world consequences, said god chooses to confess his feelings towards the handsome young ghost soldier who, is in fact, very much real and not a figment of said gods imagination.
