Fics like The Chosen: Awakening

Eight hundred years ago, the Lord of Darkness disappeared and, with him, magic vanished from the world. Spells and sorcery faded into folklore, completely lost to time. For centuries, kingdoms battled for resources and supremacy, unaware of the darkness that lay dormant beneath Ichijouji Castle. But one day, the Princess of Seijitsu has a peculiar vision. And four individuals are set on a path that will intertwine their fates, drawn together by dreams they do not understand. Destiny is rarely simple. To stop the coming darkness, they must uncover the truth behind an ancient prophecy and confront not only the fate of the world, but who they are and where they truly belong. A high fantasy Digimon AU featuring elemental magic, an ancient prophecy, slow burn romance, and a quest to save the world.
