Fics like The Problem With Pretending

Years ago, Jimin and Taehyung dated for three months before deciding it was probably just a phase. They were young, their careers were just beginning, and staying best friends seemed like the smarter choice. Now it’s years later, and Jimin’s father has decided he wants a grandchild immediately. Under pressure to prove he already has a boyfriend, Jimin panics and blurts out the first name that comes to mind. Taehyung. With Jungkook’s enthusiastic interference, the two of them agree to fake date until Jimin’s family calms down. It should be easy. They already spend half their lives together anyway. Except pretending to be boyfriends starts looking suspiciously like their normal routine. Cooking dinner together. Falling asleep during movies. Holding hands without noticing. And somewhere in the middle of the lie, they both realize something terrifying. Maybe they never moved on at all.
