Fics like Carry My Heart

Shane woke up alone, in pain and confused. He remembered the hit, Marlow had sent him down to the ice. He remembered Ilya visting before anyone else. He doesn't undertand what is wrong, why are more tests being ordered. The C test. The test for being a rare Male Carrier. He hadnt thought about Carriers since he was in school. Why would he. His mother had done the test when he was a child. It had been negative. So why was he hurting in places he shouldn't. Why was a nice nurse telling him they needed to take him somwhere else for some specialised testing. When Shane Hollander took a nasty hit on the ice against Boston, he is woken up to a very serious, very shocking discovery. To something he hadn't believed was possible. He now has to deal with the fallout, decisions have to be made as well as life altering choices. But first he has to work out how to tell his years long situationship - who he is completely and totally in love with - that he managed to get him pregnant, when neither of them was aware it was possible. Shane is terrified, confused and furious all at the same time. All he wants is Ilya, but is Ilya going to still want him now.
