Fics like to my dear aerion and daeron.

He looked at the thick and bloody bandages wrapping Aerion’s skull, "What?" “The horse’s hoof struck him against the temple,” The maester whispered. “The skull was fractured. We had to remove shards of bone to relieve the swelling of the brain. My Prince—if he wakes—the lad you knew will not return to you. The damage to the brain is irreversible, we gathered that he will not speak as he did and he will not think as he did. I have seen many men and women after injuries like this. Should he open his eyes, he will be—he will be as a sweet babe, childlike if the shards had not taken away his wits as well. He will need to be cared for, fed and clothed for the rest of his days just as an infant would.” After an injury leaves Aerion Targaryen far different than before and entirely reliant on his family, Maekar Targaryen does his best to take care of his son.
