Fics like Unbound Roses

Weiss' illusion of a family was shattered on her tenth birthday, when her own father admitted to her mother, and the rest of the family, that he never really cared for any of them. Ever since then, she's been 'the loneliest of them all'. One year later, there was a glimmer of hope when Jacques called her in 'for a special present'. But hope quickly turned to horror when she realized what he really meant. Before Weiss, there was a test to prove she could one day be just like her father. A frightened Faunus girl in a collar, and the choice that would define the kind of Schnee Weiss would become. It is said the snow of Solitas is cold and unforgiving. But maybe a wild rose can bloom in the loving embrace of snow.
