Fics like Crush (good men die too, i'd rather be with you)

If Robby hovers, then Jack crowds. If Robby is keeping an eye on her, then Jack is staring right through her. Nico doesn’t fool herself into thinking Robby’s…closeness is anything more than his thorough teaching style. Even if the closeness makes her squirm, it makes her stomach twist with a different kind of nerves. Even if she likes that sometimes, when she has a moment alone, she can smell his deodorant on her scrubs. With Jack, it’s a whole other thing. The man has a problem with eye contact and physical boundaries. He’ll stand behind her, talking her through a procedure, one arm practically wrapped around her waist to guide her hand, his voice a low rumble in her ear. She’ll lean back into him, making sure to brush against him a little more than is necessary. He stands too close to her, she stands too close to him, their hands brush as they rotate a man’s lung 180º to slow the bleeding, it’s all real fucking romantic if you asked her.
