Fics like Off Duty, Out of Control

At Blue Horizon Beach Club, the rules are simple: Watch the water. Follow protocol. Don’t let anyone drown. For head lifeguard Choi Seungcheol, discipline is everything. He runs his team like a machine, flawless and focused. No distractions. No drama. Then Kim Mingyu transfers in. Confident. Competitive. Infuriatingly charming. And way too comfortable challenging authority from the top of the south tower. What starts as a rivalry built on sharp whistles and sharper glances quickly spirals into something neither of them planned for. Between adrenaline-filled rescues, late-night pool checks, jealous beach guests, and teammates who definitely ship them, the tension rises faster than the tide. Because under the blazing summer sun, it’s not just the ocean that’s dangerous. It’s the way pride melts. The way hands brush. The way one rescue can change everything. This summer, someone’s heart might be the one that needs saving.
