Fics like All Pierre's Dreams Come True

Arms dealer Pierre Beaumarchais hired Antonio Salieri to write the score for his vanity project, moved him into his home, called his music too feminine, forced him to scrap hundreds of hours of material, and publicly boasted that the younger man gave him "delightful pleasure in the evenings". They went everywhere together and people noticed that they were giving a weird 'master and servant' vibe. Beaumarchais wanted Salieri to stay with him for good... Then Salieri got accused of the murder of his friend and rival, Wolfgang Mozart. This is historically accurate. I just didn't feel like juggling their massive 18th-century families, so I threw the entire mess into the 21st century.
