Fics like In the Hour I Loved You (Like a Dream It Was True)

Will Byers is sixteen when he dies for a second time. Now, he thought, there would be no revivals, no take-backs. He would die and that would be the end of the short and miserable life of William Byers. Which is really fucking sad because he feels like life would've finally been good for him. He'd defeated the Mind Flayer and Vecna. He'd finally gotten his love for Mike reciprocated. But now he was there, in his arms, quickly fading. The Mind Flayer’s connection was dragging him down with it into the depths of oblivion. Perhaps the universe still has one kindness to spare for him. OR Will is sent back to the summer of 1985 after he dies. He gets strange visions and enlists the help of Jane Hopper to recover his memories and hopefully save more than they could last time around.
