Fics like Wash Day

Lara hates wash day. Luca knows this in the same way he knows she loves fairytales and anything fairytale-adjacent. In the same way he knows her favorite time of day is when he gets home from work. In the same way he knows she hasn’t clicked with any of the other village kids, even when she tries to tell him she has. He knows this in the same way that he knows he’ll always love her. Or, With no one to tell him how, Luca has had to learn how to care for his sister’s hair all on his own. A snapshot of what once was.
