Fics like mama bear

"The bear had first come into his life when he was a small child. He was too little to be in school, but not too young to understand how special his mother’s love was. She loved him as if it were rebellious, as if it were a worthy sacrifice. She had brought the stuffed animal back with her from a trip he couldn’t remember her going on, then presented the gift to him in secret. The bear came in a set of two, ‘A mama and baby just like us, Ilyushenka,’ she had said. She had kept the baby bear for herself, so that they would always have each other. He never saw the baby again." or: A study of Ilya's grief for Irina through the discovery of a secret stuffed bear. (inspired by Punch the baby monkey and his emotional support stuffed orangutan)
