After meeting the love of your life, Johnny “Soap” MacTavish, you build something steady in a small Scottish town. Shared coffee in the mornings. An old house that creaks in the wind. A love that feels earned. Safe in a way you never thought you’d have. When Johnny leaves on deployment, his closest friend -Simon “Ghost” Riley- promises to look out for you. He keeps that promise. You know you are being watched. And not in the way Johnny had intended. You just can’t prove it. When Johnny’s trusted friend starts appearing everywhere -never intrusive, always helpful- you tell yourself your imagining things. He’s harmless. He’s family. That’s what Johnny says. But protection doesn’t always arrive with raised voices or clenched fists. Sometimes it arrives with tea made exactly how you like it, doors quietly unlocked, people going missing, and someone who knows things you never remember saying. This is a story about obsession disguised as devotion and what happens when love decides it knows better than you. Or: Ghost is in love with Soap and in turn falls in love with Soap's GF. He stalks them a lot.
