Fics like And They Were Roommates...

Sam Wilson always thought of himself as a modern man. Open-minded. Progressive. Tolerant. How could he not be? He was the Black Captain America, after all. Someone people looked up to. Someone who prided himself on being better than prejudice. So why is it that the moment he finds out his partner, Bucky, is gay and dating another man, Sam feels anger tighten in his chest every time he thinks about it? or: Two men hopelessly in love with each other, yet far too stupid to do anything about it. Plus poor Sam who doesn’t recognize jealousy and is fully convinced he’s just being homophobic.
