Fics like DON’T FORGET ABOUT ME | ILIA MALININ

Cecília has always dreamed of making it to the Winter Olympics — she just never imagined she would feel so out of place once she finally got there. After years of grueling training on ice that barely existed back home, she earns a spot to represent Brazil in Milan. Far from the spotlight, with no crowd cheering her on, no impressive credentials to her name, and very few people who truly believe in her — the childhood dream she fought so hard for begins to feel far more daunting than she ever expected. Meanwhile, center stage, Ilia Malinin is the name on everyone’s lips. The gold medal favorite, effortlessly charismatic, with a legion of fans at his feet — he is everything Cecília once dreamed of becoming. What she never anticipated, however, was that a series of shared practice sessions and near-accidental encounters would slowly begin to close the distance between her and the man they call the God of Quads.
