The building was naturally dark; the yellow bulbs were old and dirty, not lending more than a fleeting amount of light. Reece was now of the opinion that he should have brought his own heavy flashlight to cut through the gloom of the building. He had been excited to go hunting for antiques. Normally, closely behind him would be one of the other league members helping Reece search the shelves. Something that the four of them could do in their off time that wasn't too intense; they all had their own little collections of oddities, Reece's just being the largest. Reece continued his trudge alone through the packed shelves. The rest had all had last-minute things come up. All had been apologetic, but had canceled, leaving Reece alone this time. Not that he wouldn't be able to look on his own; it was just always better looking together. Reece let out a shallow exhale and pulled his jacket collar up over his neck. The building was cold, a change from the normally stifling temperature that antique stores usually have. There's a huff from behind; Reece stopped searching, watching the gloom, waiting for a shift or a person. Nothing came out of the shadows.
