Fics like Cherish My Heart

Alternate ending to the scene from Brocket Hall (episode 3) where Victoria confesses her love to Lord Melbourne and he responds. ‘Please,’ she whispered wetly, ‘I know you would never ask it of me, and so I must ask it of you. You, above everyone else, are who I want to give my heart to. I know you would cherish it.’ An alternate ending from the TV scene.
