Fics like Yours Always,

Dear Timothy, I know it might seem odd to receive a letter from someone who is no more than a stranger. However, your mother suggested that it might be, in her words, a fine opportunity to engage in society in a less formal environment. As you are currently away for school, you might not be aware that your neighbour, Bruce Wayne, has taken me in as his ward. It is an unusual situation, and I get the impression your mother has taken pity on my previous circumstances, or at least what she assumes they might be. Despite that, I would like a friend, even if it is one I will not meet for some time, and in corresponding with one another, we might be able to speak more candidly about our own circumstances, without the expectations of the society Bruce and your parents are wrapped up in. Yours faithfully, Jason Todd ~~~~~ The first letter came on an ordinary Thursday six weeks into Timothy Drake’s fifteenth year, an offer of friendship more so than a courting invitation that was undoubtedly a result of his mother’s meddling.
