Fics like The blood on my teeth begins to taste like a poem

She'd smiled uncontrollably, laughing breathlessly at the gentle weight of the baby against her skin. He'd been wrapped in a fuzzy pink blanket, carefully nestled in her arms. Against her sweaty, still-heaving chest as tears streaked her cheeks. Then her skin grew unbearably warm, and she glanced down as the nurses left them alone for the first few moments together. "Oh no," She whispered, her eyes wide as Percy screamed, as if he knew then and there the weight of the name branding itself across his flesh. He cried until his tawny cheeks turned red, until the color of health pulsed through his pale, drying skin. Until Sally's heart broke, watching in horror as the gold settled over Percy's heaving chest in lethal, curving, serpentine cursive. Phoebus Apollo. The initial hope she'd had of a soulmate for her beloved baby was replaced with the cold truth. Any soul bound to burn for divinity was destined only to ash.
