Fics like By Potent Art, Such Rough Magic

In Selpetua - a tomb-city on the Imperial shrine world of Hecate - the dead outnumber the living. Glevedan Bulk is a clerk of the Ossuary of Viella Twice-Sainted, a quiet man with a quiet life, until a routine consignment bound for an offworld tithe ship arrives with a flaw too perfect to ignore. His small life of long days, tavern nights, and familiar faces collides with the outlandish, libertine cultural movement taking Selpetua by storm, and even the smallest choice may save a world, or damn it. The truth is right there in the ledger. If only the city would look. By Potent Art, Such Rough Magic is a slow burn story about the days and weeks leading up to the moment a world goes from loyal subject of the Imperium to bastion of Archenemy corruption. It explores the lives and struggles of ordinary Imperial citizens trying to survive not just in the face of oppressive empire, but the death of it as well. An Aphelion Vantage story.
