Fics like Underestimate me, That'll be Fun.

Six years after retiring from the Anchorage Base, MC has traded her Jaeger cockpit for the family café she inherited from her grandfather three years ago. Though she spent five years as a pilot, the battle that claimed her sister—and left MC with Kaiju acid scars—still haunts her nearly every day through the chronic pain. She maintains her rigorous training and military discipline in a civilian world, trying to balance her trauma with the quiet life of a shop owner. However, her routine is shattered one Autumn morning when a jog to work leads her to intervene in a confrontation between a drunk foreigner and a silent performer from the traveling Circus of Horrors. People are going missing, but she's focused on something else... Why is there a faint scent of human and Kaiju blood..?
