Fics like I ain't afraid of no ghosts

His eyes flicker over Vanya and Ben, the only two he couldn’t find in the apocalypse. Not for lack of looking, because Five remembers searching through every pile of rubble that looked vaguely like a house or an apartment, searching for his sister. He gave that up when the bodies started rotting badly, too afraid of what she might look like now. He didn’t bother looking for Ben after reading Vanya’s book, which let him know his brother was already long dead. Wait. Five’s eyes snap back to where Ben was standing next to Vanya, eyes wide. When Five comes through the portal, he can see his dead brother. This changes both nothing and everything.
