Fics like Courage's Long Lost Loves

Once upon a time, a small purple beagle lived in a town in the middle of nowhere. There he and a group of misfits which included a cat, fox, duck, and doberman became very close. One day they made a promise that when they get older they'll all get married. That was years ago. Too many if you asked them since that sweet little angle of a dog vanished. But now years later after they've all gone their separate ways he returns but with no recollection of his past. The only thing he has connecting them is the ring on his finger. A symbol of the promise he's all but forgotten. But they haven't… So when an elderly couple pulled up to a motel to escape a storm, Kat didn't think much of it. That was until he looked up and saw him… their sweet little angel all grown up and still wearing that ring. They let him slip through their clutches once. They won't let it happen again.
