Fics like (from now on) in you, i put all my trust

Caleb is struck with a thought– an image really– arriving fully-formed and without warning. The pink of his own thumbs, pressed firmly into lavender skin. Pointed towards a navel, towards each other, his hands would form an arch like that of a temple. Essek would look so lovely in Caleb’s lap, held close and admired properly. Three hundred and forty-four seconds. Caleb has to get out of this hug right now. Essek is trying to say "goodbye, be safe, I will see you soon." Essek’s body is not trying to tell him anything. --- The fact that Essek is staying with him in Rexxentrum is common knowledge amongst the Nein. The fact that Essek is in his bed every night— well, that is the secret part.
