Fics like i've been waiting (for a girl like you)

Robin loudly slurps her strawberry milkshake, red straw puckered between her lips. A little leftover sits in the dip of her bottom lip. Nancy drops her gaze to the table. "So," she starts quietly, swallowing down her doubt—the uncontrollable skip in her chest each time their knees brush. "Are you gonna let me try strawberry, or...?" Robin looks up at her, eyes wide—expectant. The straw falls out of her mouth. "Or—" Nancy stumbles a little. "Let me suffer with vanilla forever." Robin blinks. "Uh—yeah, of course. Try away. I can get you a spare straw if—" But Nancy is already sliding the glass across the table, cool against her fingertips, and taking Robin's wet straw into her mouth. – The Upside Down is gone, but Nancy still can't sleep... unless one Robin Buckley is next to her. She doesn't know why.
