Shane Hollander never got that concussion, and Ilya Rozanov breaks up with him. Shortly after, Shane suffers a career ending injury. They don’t speak again. Of course, stories don’t end like that. At least not theirs. When Shane adopts a little girl with familiar curls and deep blue eyes, Shane writes letters to Ilya, imagining he was with him, raising the girl together. Movers get things mixed up. Letters get sent. And after 4 years of no contact, Ilya moves to Ottawa to see Shane again. The only question is—will Shane let him in? Or is he still just as scared as he was in 2017? (main story completed!)
