Fics like silky smooth perfume

"...What, do I smell that bad?" Daniil asked, both doubtful and incredulous at the admission that Artemy really was sniffing him. "No," Artemy answered instantly. "Not bad, just different. Couldn't tell if it was you or not." An embarrassing rush of dopamine flooded Daniil all at once; why was it so appealing for Artemy to like the way he smelled? He knew he likely was nothing short of noxious, soaked in sweat and laboratory-grade chemicals and tobacco, but apparently Artemy didn't mind that. "So?" Daniil urged, knowing how strange he must seem but powerless to stop himself from prodding at the weak spot. "What do I smell like, then?" The lamplight danced like fireflies in Artemy's eclipsed eyes. "Pink." Daniil raised an eyebrow. "Pink?" — Artemy canonically has a habit of smelling Daniil's moods in Pathologic 3. Horny is a mood.
