In another world, an evenly-matched fight in the street and an arrest by the Dai Li would be the final time their paths ever crossed. This, however, was not that world. Somehow, someway, the strings of fate had unwound and rewoven to give their story a different ending. Beneath the waters of Lake Laogai, the rocks sent Jet's way did not land a fatal blow. Beneath the palace of Ba Sing Se, Zuko made a different choice. Each had done things that they were not proud of to get where they were, and life would not be much kinder moving forward. Especially when they refuse to get along. Even so, there is comfort to be found when mixing lychee and jasmine.
