Fics like Claimed - A RomeMok AU

After years of loyal service to the Arseni family, Mok is unexpectedly released from his duties by Khun Thee and told to finally live for himself. Rome Arseni, Mok’s longtime partner and the youngest Arseni brother, refuses to let him face that freedom alone and brings him to Hong Kong, where Rome runs the Arseni headquarters. As Mok begins working as Rome’s personal assistant, their quiet, long-distance love shifts into daily proximity. Rome’s teasing affection and open closeness draw attention, and office gossip begins to twist Mok’s presence into something ugly. Accustomed to enduring in silence, Mok absorbs the whispers without complaint. When Rome finally realizes what’s been said, he responds without restraint – publicly claiming Mok as his partner and making it clear that Mok’s place beside him is earned, chosen, and permanent. In the aftermath, the power dynamics of the office settle into something new, and for the first time in his life, Mok is held not as an obligation, but as someone deeply wanted.
