Fics like By Any Other Name

This story is based on the popular fanon setting that"Stanley comes from a conservative, homophobic military family." However, instead of focusing on the choices Stanley made in his youth, it begins with an argument between him and his daughter at an older age, attempting to explore supplementary background for Stanley, how his family of origin affected his relationship with Xeno, and the new family they built. The concept is that every family has its own troubles; this is not a light, sweet family fluff.
