Fics like Death on White Wings

“Wait! Sorry—uh… warrior Na’vi!” I call. “I didn’t quite catch your name.” I have to crane my head to the side to look up at him. He hesitates for a second before responding. “It is So’lek.” I blink. “Soleek?” “No. So’lek.” “So’lik.” “So’lek.” “Okay. So-leh-ek.” He exhales through his nose, slow and controlled. “You are fighting the name.” “Am not!” I protest, waving my hands as I search for an excuse. “It’s just… hard to say.” “It is gentle,” he says evenly. Then, after a beat, “You are not.” or A kinda faithful retelling of the video game Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora that explores the relationship between So’lek and Tamtey. It sticks as close as canon as possible with my own creative liberties thrown in.
