Dennis wakes up already on edge, like his skin doesn’t fit right. For a brief moment, he’s confused, and a little dazed, because he doesn’t actually recognise where he’s woken up. He’s in a big room, airy and light, in bed that’s at least twice the size of his own. There’s art on the walls, and pictures — a little blurry, which is odd —, and an assortment of objects and possessions which decidedly don’t belong to him. Including a pair of crutches?
