Fics like No Longer Looking for Home in the Ashes

Red lost everything to the Syndicate — his family, his friends, his home. He stopped calling himself a vigilante a long time ago. His hands are stained, and whatever fate has planned for him, he intends to accept it. Apparently, the universe has other ideas. Because when he finds Blade and Croupier — two of the Syndicate’s most feared operatives — bleeding out in an alley, he makes the worst possible choice: He saves them. Healing them wasn’t part of the plan. Dragging them back to his temporary hideout definitely wasn’t either. Now they’re alive. Now they’re trapped with him. And he has no idea what to do next. It doesn’t help that Enderwalk has allied himself with the very people who took everything from him — while Red is doing everything in his power to stay off the Hunters’ radar. Nothing is going according to plan. Then again… it never does. Not for him. (Or… nope this is exactly like the others. I did put my own spin on it.) Now back to it.
