In December of 1990, Jonathan decides to go back to Hawkins to film his senior short film at NYU. After convincing Will to star in it, his co-star unexpectedly drops the film, leaving them with no choice other than to cast the only boy in Hawkins that would agree. or, Will and Mike are forced to star in a short film together, having no choice but to face their estrangement and fears throughout the week of filming.
