Fics like Nostalgia

"The past beats inside me like a second heart", John Banville once said. And as of late Bradley Uppercrust the 3rd has been feeling that 'second heart' beat irregularly as he keeps playing his past life that led up to his final X-Games over and over in his head. He longs for the simpler times then but also hates how that day reminds him of what he lost. Eventually his thoughts lead him to wander into the last place he ever thought he'd ever be in. And an act of kindness on his part further leads him to meet the last person he ever thought he'd see. What will come of this encounter? Will things come to blows like they did in the past? Will there be cold indifference? Or is there a chance that this moment of nostalgia could form a new, precious memory?
